Only 4 stars due the postcode navigation. Fabulous place to walk the dog. But a what3words navigation would be more use than the post code which was quite a way off. Try “mull.tested.worked” that got us to the car park.

Great location and fabulous walks and views. But beware Forestry England car park. It is run by Group Nexus and they are scandalous company. I have paid for a year’s parking and every time I park there, they send me a penalty notice! Every time I dispute the charge and you can only do this by email. Otherwise they charge you for the dispute call. They ignore my emails. Even my friends who pay at the machine and leave in the time frame receive penalty letters. Be aware as I’m sure I’m not the only one to be harassed by this company.

Alright for a dog walk when it's quiet! Unfortunately it's frequented by irresponsible dog owners who happily let their dog attack what ever it wants. Also, the new ANPR cameras will fine you if you are a minute over the 2h stay. Quite annoying when you find out 3 weeks later...

Beautiful views and woodland! Dogs are allowed off lead, so beware if you have a reactive dog like I do, you will probably be accosted at some point! Fantastic place :)

Nice place to walk, cafe well used but didn't use myself this time. Parking free for members £2 for two hours....£4 all day. Card only.

This is a beautiful place for a walk but sadly it was very much ruined by the amount of dog poo that was left behind on many of the paths. I trod in some and was worried for my children doing the same. Dog owners really need to pick up after their dogs as it detracts for such a nice place. The coffee shop at the end was a welcome addition.

Easy walks in scenery .nice café. £2 for 2 hours or £4 all day parking.

Beautiful spot for a lovely walk. Worth downloading the Ringo parking app before you go. When we visited you could only pay by cash. Great views.

I haven’t been here for a while but had to visit the hospital and fancied a walk and remembered this place. It was perfect for me a pretty walk through the woods a very easy path slightly gravelly ideal for pushchairs, wheelchairs and mobility scooters. But don’t wear your sandals as the bits of gravel get caught! There is cafe with picnic tables which looked very popular and we bought some ice creams. Plenty of parking but bring cash for the machine it cost us £2.50 and there are no concessions. Dogs are welcome too
