This place has a very special place in our heart. We’ve been many, many times over the years and every time we’ve had beautifully cooked food, wonderful service and just an all round great time!
Its beautiful surroundings are amazing to enjoy whether it be from a cup of tea at the cafe or a large white wine from the bar! They’re even better to enjoy over breakfast in the conservatory! Definitely worth a visit, it’s the hidden secret of Shrewsbury!

As a local, we try to support our local establishments and I've debated whether to write this review but over the last few visits, it has remained disappointing. The venue has been trying a few different approached to attract new customers and for that, it must be praised. We have been for brunch on multiple occasions, the food is always excellent. Our visit today was cut short as, despite booking a table for two adults with two children which were in highchairs (which we included in the notes on our booking), we were told that they only had one highchair (which we know not to be true as we usually use two). We said we could try and make it work as our toddler could sit in a big chair - not ideal but having made the trip to come out for brunch, we wanted to make it work. We were then told we couldn't have the one remaining highchair because someone was using it. It wasn't so much the situation that annoyed me, it was how very little the staff seemed to care. Even upon explaining my frustration, the staff member just seemed annoyed that I'd raised the issue - so we just left. This unfortunately isn't the first time we've had poor service here and despite trying again and again to help a local business, we won't be returning.

Stopped for lunch, liked the menu I had the fish cakes with salad which was filling. Mum had Welsh rarebit with ham duck egg on toasted sourdough. Both delicious and nicely presented. Would go again

We had an incredible breakfast at the Haugmond recently. The attention to detail was unmatched—the presentation of the breakfast plate was stunning, and it all tasted amazing. I met my family there, who had stayed at the hotel, and they were equally impressed. They were extremely complementary about their experience, particularly the deep, restful sleep they enjoyed in the comfortable and spotless room. Our entire group had nothing but praise for the Haugmond!

Great visit after their recent rennovation, we headed out as a family for Breakfast and it was superb! Fautless! The staff were very friendly and engaging which helped provide a great atmosphere. A must try is The Haughmond Full English, you can tell that the produce as been carefully selected and locally sourced! Can't wait to visit again.

We absolutely loved this place,we stayed with our little dog,and from the onset it was an amazing experience! The staff are amazing! We booked in for an evening meal and wow it didn't disappoint! They could easily charge more for this exceptional quality of food! We got chatting to the lady who was serving us about horses, and the cauliflower chese! ( we loved it!) Brilliant service and highly recommended! We will be back! Thank you
